The Director, Finance Strategic Projects, will focus on productivity capabilities to support efficiency efforts for the company. This is a key role responsible for leading, facilitating and/or supporting key re-engineering and transformation opportunities to improve processes and efficiency, customer experience and/or control environment across the business. This role will report into the Chief Financial Officer.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Scoping, directing & managing a portfolio of efficiency and process improvement/re-engineering projects within, or across, the Businesses
  • Achieving measurable and sustainable operational efficiency results, and consequently, tangible financial benefits
  • Develops and executes influencing strategies to build & increase buy-in and Business Leadership support
  • Collaborates and interfaces with business partners and leaders across the business and functions
  • Translate complex messages into impactful and actionable communication
  • Creates and delivers impactful executive level presentations
  • Translating complex business problems into actionable initiatives
  • Supports prioritization
  • Supports & implements a standard efficiency methodology, approach, policies, objectives and plans
  • Works in partnership with executives and cross-functional teams to solidify our corporate strategy and priorities: aligning with market, customer needs, technology innovation, as well as internal opportunities to optimize operations
  • Supports and validates the strategic vision, core offerings and looks to the current operating model to identify opportunities to improve how services are delivered to customers and optimize value
  • Identifies opportunities to improve operations, as part of corporate strategy
  • Analyze data related to workflow, processes, and reporting to evaluate the efficiency of current-state business processes
  • Support the implementation of process improvement including design and deployment
  • Design and assist team members in creation of process metrics reports that will be sent to leadership teams for clear visibility into reporting
  • Develop a strong understanding of business processes and the ability to recommend process changes, procedure redesign, etc., as needed to support the business
  • Common objectives for process redesign across the business will be to maintain high quality, customer-focused service delivery, to ensure the business remains compliant with regulations, and to preserve transaction accuracy and efficiency
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with colleagues and functional departments to achieve common objectives
  • Lead and coordinate quality, efficiency projects and activities to ensure continuous best practices, and quality improvement
  • Analyze existing workflows and perform best practice benchmark gap analysis
  • Develop processes and procedures to effectively meet or exceed customer expectations
  • Develop/update process documentation, work instructions and other tools to support execution
  • Create workflow templates to streamline processes and increase efficiency
  • Provide recommendations to departments, work with respective teams on adoption and train teams as appropriate
  • Partner with Legal and Compliance to ensure compliance
  • Collaborate cross functionally on full life cycle process evaluation and improvements.
  • Conduct ongoing research and benchmark against industry best practices
  • Organize cross functional groups across departments to work collaboratively toward the effective and efficient pursuit of predetermined goals
  • Prioritize projects to ensure timely completion of deliverables and milestones
  • Perform analytics to determine level of impact and use outcomes to prioritize projects
