Job Description

The Scrum Master manages a team of Scrum leaders and leads the deployment of the Agile Methodology within The Nature’s Bounty Co.'s IT organization. 

As part of the Agile methodology, the Scrum Master also owns the definition of the request portfolio alignment process, this process aims to work with the business and align on what work gets prioritized into Agile Sprints.                                                                                              
Additional responsibilities include:

  • Defines best practices, lessons learned and constantly updates the Agile methodology within the company
  • Owns the establishment of the project alignment metrics and project execution metrics for the IT organization
  • Participates in and leads Sprint planning sessions with business stakeholders
  • Lead the creation of a learning roadmap to build agile skills and practices for the IT organization and the business teams that engage with IT organization
  • Translates technology product strategies and translate this into actionable steps on the technology roadmap
  • Identifies and recommends areas appropriate for further exploration and participates/leads proof of concept projects required to explore business value and define quantitative benefits of the adoption
  • Recommends and participates in the design and implementation of standards, tools and methodologies for the software development cycle
  • Participates in the design and implementation of standards, tools and methodologies for the hardware change control processes
  • Leads the update and management of the platform for agile, ensure the service now is updated to reflect the agreed processes, compliance(SOX) and reporting needs
  • Manages the scrum leads and owns the training and implementation
  • Ensure that all IT policies are updated and the IT organization is trained on how to apply them as part of the agile delivery methodology
  • Lead value engineering efforts for development
  • Participates in the update of the service introduction methodology

Job Requirements

  • Practical experience leading Agile transformation projects
  • 5+ years of experience collaborating with application teams that consist of in and outsourced staff
  • Hands on experience in the use of technologies in support of Agile, specifically ServiceNow
  • 4+ years of experience in Sprint Planning and Project  Portfolio Management
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering) or related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired
  • Ability to work with broad guidance and manage multiple priorities
  • 3+ years of experience using Agile methodologies
  • Transformation expertise, ability to lead teams to learn new skills and apply them
  • Ability to work with an integrated team of customers, product managers, implementation specialists and engineers
  • Strong communication & presentation skills with ability to interact at all levels of the organization, both internal and external
