Job Description

The Sr. Financial Analyst is an instrumental member of the Customer Finance team, supporting the Sales  and Customer Strategy organizations, supporting the Sales business leaders and the Sales Finance Team in establishing high-performance capabilities. This includes developing, quantifying, and interpreting financial and operational metrics and analyses related to all aspects of Gross North American Sales, Gross to Net, Net Sales, Cost of Goods and Contribution Margin.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain all month-end, quarter-end, and year-end standardized Gross to Net Reporting for the sales team
  • Establish annual customer planning framework for sales team, including full Gross to Net & Customer & Product Profitability (CPP)
  • Enhance CPP tools and processes, developing action oriented CPP KPI scorecards while embedding key principles within the sales organization
  • Sales Finance trade performance management super user (Oracle)
  • Conduct detailed analyses as requested and provide meaningful insights and recommendations
  • Complete understanding of the Customer Profitability P&L and the impact levers have on Contribution Margin. Analyze and review P&Ls with Customer Teams
  • Understanding, reporting and analysis of “non-working” trade (i.e. returns, post audits, unauthorized/authorized deductions, etc.)
  • Identify and implement sustainable process improvements that can be incorporated into ongoing standard work within the organization
  • Research, track and summarize key data including, trends, and profitability and expense analyses
  • Assist in the development, consolidation and analysis of the annual plan, forecasts, and strategic plan
  • Provide analytics and data gathering for various projects across the Sales, Strategy and NPG organizations
  • Use Oracle, GL Wand, Hyperion, Tableau, Admin Tool and other available Direct-To-Consumer/e-Commerce systems to analyze and interpret data

Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of Financial Planning & Analysis, Sales Finance and/or Brand Finance experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business and/or Accounting 
  • Advanced Excel modeling skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong ability to interpret data, identify and communicate potential opportunities and risks
  • Strong interpersonal skills and capability to contribute to a fast-paced team environment
  • Must be proficient with Windows, Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Power Point, etc.
  • Ability to sift through and analyze data and present insights in a concise and structured manner
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Flexible and able to prioritize multiple projects in order to meet deadlines
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate across all levels of the organization
  • Oracle, GL Wand, Hyperion, and Tableau knowledge a plus
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles (accruals, prepaid accounts, etc.)
