Job Description

The Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), is the lead finance position for the E-Commerce business unit and will collaborate cross-functionally across several business partners, including Marketing, Merchandising, Pricing, Supply Chain, and Consumer Insights. This role can be based in either, Florham Park, NJ, or Holbrook, NY.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • All financial processes and reporting for the business unit including month end close, forecasts, annual plan, P&Ls, variance analysis, margin analysis, and any ad hoc requests.
  • Develop the analytical framework of the business & design quick reference analyses for a daily/weekly/monthly look into the business.
  • Partner with the team to develop annual plans and forecasts which incorporate key learnings and inputs from all stakeholders to set clear financial goals and accountability.
  • Provide recommendations to enhance the business unit financial performance through process improvements and cost efficiency opportunities.
  • Engage in regular dialogue with Sr. Leadership to convey state of the business and address potential risks and opportunities impacting business performance.
  • Evaluate and advise on the financial impact of marketing programs and business strategies.
  • Monitor the success of strategic initiatives by providing accurate and timely data analysis.
  • Manage financial ad-hoc requests from internal teams to help drive revenue and profitability growth.
  • Anticipate needs of senior leadership team and business partners and prioritize team efforts to deliver all commitments in a timely manner.
  • Provide an external view and perspective on E-commerce competitors, consumers, and market.

Job Requirements

  • 7+ years of finance experience preferably in e-Commerce / Direct-To-Consumer (DTC) or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships, influence and collaborate
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous environments and organization in an “infrastructure build” phase
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate data and metrics to Senior Leadership; to effectively lead and create high-performing teams; to prioritize workflow and projects delegated to team
  • Advanced Excel & PowerPoint skills 
  • B.S. in Accounting and/or Finance
  • M.B.A. preferred
  • Strong leadership skills that demonstrate the ability to build consensus, influence others, and build credibility with other functional area leaders
  • Ability to dissect a business situation into an organized approach; to present complex concepts / recommendations in concise, easy-to-understand terms
  • Strong analytical capabilities in Excel and in managing large data sets
  • Proficiency in Tableau and Hyperion a plus
