Job Description

The shopper’s path to purchase from awareness to conversion continues to evolve and change. The development of eCommerce shopping platforms (grocery pick-up and delivery) and advancements in retailer digital media has shaped the way the CPG retail marketing will look.  Winning in this environment requires new capabilities in Shopper Marketing, eCommerce/Omni-Commerce, Technology and Media.

The Sr. Manager, Omnichannel Strategy & Activation will be responsible for sales objectives, strategies and KPIs measurement to win in our Field Sales Region (primarily Grocery channel). Examples of these strategies include; Investment in grocery shopper platforms, refining and optimizing the digital shelf, retail marketing and media campaigns.  This role collaborates across a matrix of stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Digital, and Shopper Marketing.  This is a remote role.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Develop strategy and plans to capitalize conversion of the shopper through omnichannel platforms within the Grocery channel primarily with expansion into Target.
  • Develop account specific programs that align with the customers strategic plans that help with profitable growth. 
  • Create customer engagement platforms to help generate awareness and demand with consumers in and at point of purchase.
  • Execute our brand and category growth strategy that align with the customer’s strategies and shopper’s path to purchase.
  • Work with customers’ teams to implement retail point of purchase initiatives to drive demand creation through digital shelf, customer online platforms, ecommerce shopper platforms, etc.
  • Analyze performance/effectiveness of ecommerce shopper platforms in an effort to help identify recommendations to sales/brand teams on most effective investment
  • Influence and propose investment levels with internal Brand and Digital Planning/Media Team to effectively drive demand and sales through these platforms.
  • Integrate consumer and shopper insight from all available data sources to further position Nature’s Bounty as a strategic thought-leader in the industry by creating and executing strategic omnichannel platforms to influence in-store, mobile and ecommerce engagement. 
  • Act as a thought leader in the market, driving an awareness of new technologies and methods in keeping the company apprised of current and future trends.
  • Work collaboratively with other Shopper Activation associates to share best practices and establish KPIs by retailer.

Job Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience within the CPG industry (related experience in Sales, Marketing (brand or customer), eCommerce, Digital and Media).
  • 5+ years of experience working with retailers specifically in Grocery.
  • Deep understanding of ecommerce shopper platforms such as Instacart, Peapod, Click & Collect, etc.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • High level of organizational skills, good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to multi-task and follow-up when responses are needed.
  • The demonstrated ability to utilize creativity and push beyond the obvious, comfortable going into unchartered territory in setting out recommendations and goals.
  • Problem solver with a solutions oriented mindset.
  • Must be a dynamic leader who can push past obstacles, overcome objections.
  • Understand the value of listening to customers, gaining insights and moving objectives forward.
  • Ability to negotiate with business partners.
  • Must be an articulate communicator who can quickly synthesize data; strong financial acumen.
  • Project management in a complex, fast-moving environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field required, MBA a plus.
  • Flexible to travel 25 – 30%
