Job Description  

The Application Support Technical Specialist will works collaboratively across the Information Technology Operations teams to quickly resolve application issues, set up and maintain application configurations and fine tuning, and keep applications current with the latest patches and updates.

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Fully manages the “release to production” process
  • Works closely with technical support teams understanding Application issues and problem trends
  • Performs root cause analysis and provides technical solutions to production related application errors 
  • Ensures support readiness prior to the deployment of any change to the production environment
  • Collaborates with internal business partners, engineering teams, and other technology professionals
  • Assists with documenting technical and business processes including technical guides
  • Reviews application architecture to ensure high availability and disaster recovery
  • Coordinates periodic Disaster Recovery testing of critical business applications
  • Works with application support team to refresh non production environment from production
  • Analyzes all applications and recommend necessary upgrades and patches and perform troubleshoot on all issues

Qualifications  
  • 3+ years of experience supporting Business applications i.e. Oracle E-Business Suite Applications (EBS), Oracle Product Lifecycle Management (LCM), Salesforce, AS400
  • Oracle Application Administration support and AS400 application support experience required
  • Proven experience with collaborating and managing 3rd party support vendors
  • Incident Change, Problem Management experience
  • Experience with Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) Tools, i.e. ServiceNow, Remedy
  • Experience in supporting all phases of Software Development Lifecycle process (SDLC)
  • Strong experience required establishing and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation Certification preferred
  • Strong Knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS)
  • General understanding of Operating Systems, Databases, Security, and Networking required
  • Knowledge of Operating Systems, Middleware, Database, Webservers
  • Strong Vendor management and analytical skills
