Job Description

The Brand Marketing Manager for Pure Protein® is a true brand management role within a high growth, private equity backed, and category leading company.  This poised, dynamic manager will help to lead, define, and execute all elements within the brand portfolio including running the business and building the brand.  

Responsibilities include:

  • Own and be accountable for the creation and execution of strategic marketing plans, business financial plans, P&L management, monthly sales forecasting, line extension project management, packaging, pricing strategy, team leadership, brand briefs, digital & social media, and more.  
  • Full P&L accountability - integrating the key business drivers and brand strategy for revenue to contribution margin accountability on a category leading, high growth brand.
  • Identify key growth strategies and propose execution plans, informed by data and consumer insight, to increase consumer penetration and consumption 
  • Build brand equity f and cultivate consumer passion and brand relevancy including all elements of packaging, event and influencer strategy, and media and communications strategy.
  • Lead marketing/business analysis; including financial analysis, consumer/category insights, portfolio management, channel strategy, and competitive intelligence.
  • Develop and lead promotions, creative development (Digital, OLV, linear TV, Radio), NPD, packaging, financial performance, demand/supply planning and procurement.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to optimize outcome and ensure consistency of brand initiatives and get optimal results from internal cross functional teams and Agency partners.
  • Build strong relationships with the Sales organization to maximize programs impact and sales support initiatives; assess and build business solutions from a marketing perspective.
  • Develop and manage marketing budget to accomplish key strategic brand and business opportunities.

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of Brand Management experience building brands and driving the business, including financial management and P&L management.
  • Exudes a passion for health and wellness space
  • Experience managing Associate Brand Managers and leading cross functional, complex teams
  • Familiarity and passion for health or wellness industries preferred
  • Experience in Sports, Health and Fitness channel with proven track record of developing brands and business within the Sports and active nutrition space strongly preferred
  • Strategic thinker with a strong attention for detail, able to learn on the fly and move from the big picture to the detail, and back
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Action and solution oriented problem solver
  • Effective collaborator who is able to navigate different working styles, influence and work cross functionally
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to write, share, present ideas articulately and convincingly
  • Ability to develop breakthrough Brand Plans and Strategy with a strong consumer and customer mindset
  • Passion for healthy and active lifestyle and winning as a team
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field; MBA a plus
