Job Description

The Nature's Bounty Co. is currently recruiting for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our Team!  We are seeking candidates to leverage their analytical skills across multiple tools, including Tableau and OBIEE.  

The BI Analyst will be responsible for the managing and analysis of business intelligence systems and applications. Will be involved with researching, designing, developing, documenting, and enhancing software specifications throughout the production lifecycle as well as providing support. Will be utilizing Tableau, OBIEE, and work on Data Warehouse. 

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Brainstorm broad concepts and ideas of various reporting designs, both individually and with the team, and translate those into a consumable, tangible objective
  • User & Design flows, mockups with specs that can be prototyped 
  • Contribute to decisions around report designs, Data visualization and creative direction
  • Expertise and experience working with Tableau, OBIEE, Proof of Concepts and mockups
  • Understand business requirements, business processes and data sources and define project objectives accordingly
  • Assist with data identification, data acquisition, data cleansing, data preparation, data loading, etc.
  • Write scripts to analyze data based on business rules for ad-hoc analytics projects and/or development and implementation of reusable data analysis tools
  • Identify data quality issues and recommend the best course of action to address them
  • Gather requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements, workshops, business process descriptions, use business case scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis
  • Develop project documentation, testing materials, training materials, requirements gathering including downstream and upstream interface requirements and adhering to a project management methodology is a must
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets


Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of industry experience in Business Intelligence, Reporting, or similar data related roles
  • Bachelor's Degree in technical discipline
  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related preferred.
  • SQL and data warehouse skills (Oracle, Microsoft, etc.)
  • Reporting and Visualization tools (Tableau, Qlik, OBIEE, etc.)
  • Scripting language (Perl, Python or similar)
  • Communication Skills: The ability to translate the data into an understandable insight and present complex information simply, easily, and clearly. The individual should be able to story-tell with data, form relationships with all key stakeholders and tailor communication styles to specific audience needs
  • Critical Thinking: Analyze numbers, uncover trends, and draw conclusions based on the findings. Leverage problem solving skills and frameworks to develop solutions. Reconcile data conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, and take low-level information up to a more general understanding
  • Attention to Detail: vigilant in data quality and ensuring data integrity. Must also consistently deliver accurate information for decision making
  • Capable of multitasking & prioritizing in a fast paced and agile work environment
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a team and interact with developers in distributed work environments
