The Director of Co-Packaging and Co-Manufacturing Planning is responsible for optimizing the network of global co-manufacturing and co-packaging supply by overseeing associated planning department, processes, systems, cadence, and analytics to:  drive cross-functional and vendor collaboration, capture key business and supply planning insights, and create integrated, aligned, stable, and agile supply and inventory plans with the vendors to efficiently meet the Business’ service level targets.

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage network of vendors across multiple sites for co-manufacturing of bulks and co-packaging of finished goods.
  • Coordinate all planning aspects of vendor and company coordination including raw material planning, bulk planning, packaging planning.   
  • Conduct rough-cut analysis each month (RCCP) collaborating with vendors to gain alignment on levels and timing
  • Monitor execution against plan, end-to-end
  • Work with procurement to qualify and on-board new vendors as needed
  • Provide input into the S&OP process for the co-manufacturing and co-packaging network
  • Lead inventory optimization within the network, aligning with Supply Planning director to ensure optimization of the Global Supply Network
  • Examine performance metrics and escalated exceptions messages across designated network to prioritize planning issues and create countermeasures in order to achieve kpi targets
  • Ensure execution of master data management internally and to meet the vendor’s data requirements
  • Conduct root cause analysis and resolve systematic issues
  • Present plans within Supply Chain and to the commercial business, communicating impact of supply delays and demand movement
  • Partner with procurement and vendors on execution within the network
  • Serve as liaison to the commercial community and procurement to represent supply matters
  • Optimize network, using forward-thinking Supply Planning practices and engaging in continuous improvement. Engages and Influences vendor behavior through interaction with the vendor’s supply team that may consist of Site Planners, Site Buyers, and Site Plant Manager, Schedulers, Commodity Managers

Job Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in supply chain, with 5+ years leading supply planning / S&OP operational tactical strategic activities
  • Experience managing master data maintenance processes to ensure clean data is being used to drive S&OP
  • Experience using ERP system (Oracle VCP preferred) in a consumer goods organization
  • Undergraduate degree (Masters' preferred) or comparable background or work experience
  • APICS Certification 
  • PMP Certification preferred
  • Proficient with PC Programs (Word, Excel, PPT), with advanced Excel capabilities (e.g., using formulas) and PPT to create dynamic presentations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver effective executive presentations
  • Ability to lead and work as effective team member
  • Self-motivated, proactive and results oriented, with ability to work in fast moving dynamic environment
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to quickly identify and assess problems and develop solutions, leveraging quantitative modeling, BI, and KPI development
  • Ability to influence others within and outside of the designated network 
  • Broad business knowledge with ability to understand impacts within and outside of Supply Chain
