Job Description

The Nature's Bounty Co. is looking for a hands-on information or data architect with deep expertise in Information management, data modeling, data warehousing, reporting, and analytics technologies. They will provide tactical and strategic direction in the areas of information management, business intelligence, data mining, data quality, and consistency across platforms, products, business units, and geographic areas.
The Enterprise Information Architect will develop a detailed knowledge of the underlying data and become the subject matter expert on content, current and potential future uses of data, and the quality and interrelationship between data sets and repositories.


Key areas of responsibility:
•    Fulfill the key management and thought leadership role in the areas of advanced data techniques, including data modeling, data access, data integration, visualization, data discovery, database design, and implementation.
•    Defines and implements the strategy and roadmap for the entire organization, including data modeling, implementation and data management for our enterprise data warehouse and data lake.
•    Responsibilities include setting the vision, gathering requirements, gaining business consensus, performing vendor and product evaluations, mentoring business and development resources, delivering to plan, and maintaining documentation of the as is and future state architecture.
•    Provide leadership in establishing analytic environments required for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
•    Proven track record to drive rapid prototyping and design for new projects.
•    Identifies standards (what goes where, what means what, and who is allowed to do what) and frameworks (how information flows and is stored/secured) as necessary to achieve the envisioned information architecture.
•    Oversees the analysis and design of the data stored by information systems, concentrating on entities, their attributes, and their inter-relationships.
•    Directs the development of various models (e.g. data, process, metrics/measures, object based) to present the abstractions that make up the information structure.
•    Evaluates and recommends potential technologies (tools, hardware and software) to accomplish the organization's information management goals.
•    Keeps up-to-date on industry trends and emerging technologies associated with enterprise information architecture.



Qualifications

•    Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering) or related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired.
•    Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in the following: architecting enterprise information architecture, strategies and roadmaps, and providing business, governance and technical recommendations; analyzing inter-relationships between various domains of enterprise information including master data, meta-data, operational data, unstructured data and analytical data.
•    Experience in database technologies (Oracle/MS SQL/MySQL), database data modeling both logical and physical, MDM technologies, Master Data Management (MDM), Business Intelligence, data warehousing, IT System integration and Enterprise Information Integration.
•    Extensive experience in Oracle/MS SQL/MySQL database data modeling both logical and physical.
•    Extensive experience in multidimensional data modeling, such as star schemas, snowflakes, normalized and de-normalized models, handling “slow-changing” dimensions etc.
•    Extremely strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•    Extensive experience providing practical direction on information and analytics platforms in conjunction with EDW tools and technologies.
•    Experience using project management and SDLC methodologies.
•    Solid experience with Data Warehouse and BI systems, extensive experience for collecting business requirements and transforming those into DB data processes and data schema.
•    Understanding of common information architecture frameworks and information models including The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF), information maturity model, Information as a Service (IaaS) and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
