Job Description

The Lead Softgel Inspector is responsible for assisting the supervisor on a daily basis. Also, responsible for adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) that are in effect assuring the quality and quantity of product produced.

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manages the department in the absence of the supervisor and/or manager
  • Visually inspects soft gels and removes unacceptable softgels
  • Operates polishing and sizing machines 
  • Sets scales with proper quantities
  • Fills cartons with product, label cartons and stack on pallets
  • Moves pallets with hand jack
  • Cleans trays with alcohol/water solution and stack trays to a height of no more than 75 inches

Please note: This is a 3rd Shift Opportunity. Hours for 3rd shift are 11:00pm-7:30am; Sunday - Thursday, Overnights



Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • Military experience a plus
  • Prior inspection or machine operator experience in a manufacturing or packaging setting required
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Must be able to respond to verbal and written instructions
  • Physical ability to repetitively lift, stand, climb, bend, etc within a manufacturing environment
  • Must be able to work with known allergens, i.e. (Fish oils and or other products derived from fish)
