The Instructional Designer will develop content and curriculum to accelerate training within our various Supply Chain facilities across the U.S. This includes writing, designing and creating training materials used for technical training as it relates to Manufacturing, Packaging, and Warehouse & Distribution processes and procedures. 

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyzes content, target audience, job tasks, and learner environment to identify appropriate instructional strategies (Work instructions (OPIs), Online training, Classroom training, OPLs, etc.)
  • Translate deep understanding of adult learning theory, design principles and learning technology into successful learning products
  • Partner with Subject Matter Experts to identify best strategies for content development and delivery to enhance retention and content transfer
  • Develops training materials including presentations, instructor and participant guides, classroom activities, practice exercises, and handouts that meet the needs of adult learners in a training environment for online and group instruction
  • Creates and establishes curriculum development and deployment timelines
  • Designs and develops assessment tools that measure mastery of course materials and evaluate ability to perform job-related tasks
  • Visualize instructional graphics, the user interface and the finished product
  • Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games, etc.)
  • Decide on the criteria used to judge learners performance and develop assessment instruments
  • Maintain project documentation and course folders
