Job Description  

The Lead Quality Assurance Floor Inspector will be under the direction of the Quality Assurance Supervisor and will be responsible for assisting them on a daily basis. This is a vital and valuable asset to a Quality Assurance Team and directly impact the quality of this organization’s leading nutritional supplements and products. 

***This position is 3rd shift.  Schedule starts Sunday night to Thursday.  Hours are from 11pm – 7:30am***

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring productivity goals are met, ensure daily activities are tracked and monitored, as well as consistently support and guide a team of associates through daily challenges
  • Assisting the supervisor on a daily basis by managing the department in the absence of the supervisor
  • Following safety rules, SOPs and cGMPs guidelines
  • Maintains department data accuracy and control by guiding associates in daily operations in a fast-paced work environment as efficiently, safely and productively as possible.
  • Investigates of operational errors to determine cause and recommends corrective action where needed
  • Identifies issues effecting efficiencies and assists in developing solutions
  • Monitors productivity and motivates associates in production and/or distribution areas
  • Ensures that all paperwork is properly documented
  • Updating daily, weekly and monthly reports

Qualifications  

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Minimum of 2 years of Quality Assurance experience, within a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment
  • Experience working with AS400 preferred
  • High level of organizational skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Likes to learn and teach
  • Intermediate PC skills
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
