Job Description

The ServiceNow Automation & Orchestration Lead will lead and create IT automation solutions using industry-standard tools, such as ServiceNow Orchestration, and possibly other tools (i.e. Jenkins, Ansible, and Chef) with minimal oversight.  In this role you will be developing automation solutions to provide self service capabilities for the company to simplify IT. The candidate will work with the Architecture, Development, Engineering, and Operations teams to establish standards, best practices and automation infrastructure solutions within company.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Define and implement efficient end-to-end provisioning Automation solutions based on ServiceNow
  • Serves as a subject matter expert for automation and orchestration
  • Identify the automation orchestration related opportunities throughout the organization
  • Independently leads the design of automation solutions to include hardware platforms, services, and operation systems
  • Lead development of Infrastructure Self-Service Portals
  • Provide Architecture solution to develop Self-Service Portal and Infrastructure automation
  • Conduct Proof Of Concepts to demonstrate new ideas and help solidify technical direction
  • Work with internal, as well as external, resources to achieve project goals
  • Researches and gathers requirements for automation from users

Job Requirements

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Business or Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • 3 plus years of experience in scripting (PowerShell, JavaScript), working with ServiceNow ITOM (Orchestration, MID Servers, REST API, and Catalog or Workflow Development), working with ServiceNow CMDB and Asset tables,  and working with JSON, and XML
  • 2 plus years of exposure to, and working with, the ServiceNow SDLC Stories, Epics, and Releases
  • Effective coding skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Excellent business partnering skills
  • ServiceNow Application Developer Certification
  • ITIL foundations, or related certification 
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret complex manual processes and provide a simple and user-friendly experience
  • Experience working within an enterprise with governance, security, and regulations
