Job Description

NOTE: This is a 2nd Shift Opportunity. Hours for this position are Monday - Friday 3:00pm - 11:30pm. There is a shift differential for this role.

Under the direction of the Manager/Supervisor/Lead Person, the material handler is responsible for the movement of products (materials, components) to supply department needs. Also, responsible for adhering to the Standard Operating procedures (SOPs) and/or Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) that are in effect assuring the quality and quantity of product produced.

The Nature's Bounty Co. expects all associates to demonstrate behaviors and conduct in alignment with the High Performance Organization (HPO) fundamental beliefs and principles and the TIARA values (Teamwork – Integrity – Accountability – Respect – Agility). This role requires for the associate to adhere to: all EHS policies and procedures in order to keep themselves and others safe; all Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) that are in effect in order to assure a consistent quality and quantity of product produced.

• Operates material handling equipment independently as well within a team environment
• Moves material to appropriate destinations
• Organizes and maintains materials and other components in storage, staging areas or feeding the packaging lines
• Documents information as per SOP
• Complies with company policies and procedures and maintains regular work attendance
• Personal responsibility for following safety rules, SOPs and cGMPs guidelines
• Performs other duties as assigned


  • One to three months related experience and/or training; equivalents combination of education and experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Basic Math to complete required documentation
  • Basic reading and writing in English to complete required documentation and to understand required procedures
  • Basic technical and mechanical ability to understand equipment
  • This role requires the use of personal protection equipment and working around equipment and machinery.
  • Visual acuity to inspect product and read labels and documentation
  • Physical ability to stand for most of the day (5-8 hours a day) and to regularly work on raised surfaces and climb stairs or ladders.
  • Physical capability to repetitively lift and carry 25 lbs for up to a height of 4 feet and for a distance of 4 feet for 5-8 hours a day. Frequently from 26 – 50 lbs for the same height and distance for 3 – 6 hours a day. For proper lifting and carrying, squatting is frequently required.
  • The role may require pushing and pulling a fully loaded pallet jack or lift (~500 lbs) for extended distances.
  • Physical ability to repetitively bend and twist at the waist and neck and to reach above and below shoulder level to reach for product, components or equipment panels.
