Job Description

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the repair and preventive maintenance of high volume automated processing equipment.

Shift Information:  2nd shift  3:15pm - 11:45pm;  Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Performs preventative maintenance on production and plant equipment
  • Troubleshoots / diagnoses equipment malfunction and takes corrective action
  • Start up checks of production and process equipment, repair of electrical equipment (including controls), hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical components


  • Must have experience in Preventative Maintenance (PM) and machinery troubleshooting in the nutraceutical or food industry
  • Experience diagnosing, analyzing, investigating and correcting causes of malfunction of production equipment and machinery
  • Excellent maintenance and electrical skills such as welding, fabrication, equipment fine-tuning, pneumatics, troubleshooting, lubrication, reading electrical schematics, using PLC’s
  • High level of organizational skills, good written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines, to multi-task and follow-up when responses are needed
  • Must be able to respond to verbal and written instructions
  • High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent military maintenance experience.
