Job Description

The Manager, Amazon Activation, will join our in-house digital activation team and help drive purchase demand and conversion on Amazon.com across our portfolio of Sports & Active Nutrition brands.  This individual is responsible for strategic planning and tactical execution of Amazon channel strategy to drive successful short and long-term growth and sales goals. The Manager will work collaboratively with external partners, internal customer development, sales and operations, brand, digital strategy, media planning, and content operations teams.

This role is instrumental in driving one of NBCo.’s largest channels across all retailers, and setting the roadmap for scalable growth strategies.  We are seeking someone with strong ecommerce management, strategy, and analytical experience, with a strong desire to grow and lead.

Responsibilities include:

  • Partner with digital strategy and media leads to plan and execute paid search and display campaigns on Amazon.com in alignment with marketing plans.
  • Work with customer development team to provide guidance into the promotional strategy utilizing tactics including but not limited to VPC’s, subscribe and save, DOTD and amplifying these promotions through appropriate marketing channels.
  • Lead the launch of new innovation on Amazon.com.
  • Leverage reporting platforms to internalize and analyze campaign performance and make recommendations for how to best optimize the campaigns.
  • Partner with external managed services on campaign strategy and execution.
  • Identify and leverage developing trends across eCommerce channels.
  • Partner with internal brand teams to internalize annual brand strategies.
  • Oversee quarterly media budgets for Amazon search and display and allocate spend across both.

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working with eCommerce retail channels, notably Amazon.com (1P).
  • Experience working with large product catalogs (`1000+) preferred.
  • Partner / Agency Management experience preferred.
  • BA or BS degree required. 
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of keyword dynamics and optimization.
  • Great communication skills and a positive team attitude.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills are essential, with ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must work well across large cross-functional teams. 
  • Proficiency in managing multiple tasks and work streams across brands; simultaneously contributing to multiple projects each with aggressive development schedules.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others with respect for their unique contributions.
  • Able to present concepts in a clear and convincing manner to a broad range of audiences.
