Job Description  

The Compensation Manager will be responsible for managing the Annual Merit and/or the Annual Incentive Programs, as well as any Compensation related requests, such as position benchmarking and any ad-hoc requests for their assigned support areas.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage the Annual Merit and/or Annual Incentive Planning process. 
  • Prepare related costing analyses, budget recommendations and associated summaries for management review.
  • Develop and implement proposals for improvements to existing compensation programs and processes.
  • Determine organization’s competitive pay structure by participation in salary surveys.
  • Benchmark positions for evaluation against market. Provide guidance to management on compensation actions.
  • Conduct job analyses and review position descriptions for appropriateness and confirmation of FLSA classifications.
  • Administer Monthly/Quarterly Sales Commission awards.
  • Leads various compensation related projects on an as needed basis.
  • Partner with Finance on budget planning and accruals.

Qualifications  
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Compensation/Human Resources or related Consulting.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Advanced proficiency with Office Applications, (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
  • Strong Analytical, Verbal, Written & Problem Solving skills.
  • Experience working within a fast moving consumer packaged good (CPG) organization, with a manufacturing component, is a strong plus.
  • Experience with writing reports and extracting data from an HRIS system (Oracle, PeopleSoft, Lawson, etc.) a plus.
  • Graduate degree and/or CCP Certification is a plus.
  • Access and Visio a plus.
