Job Description

The Central Integrated Business Planning (IBP) Inventory Manager, within the Supply Chain Function, will manage inventory target setting, monitor inventory performance, and drive cross-functional initiatives to improve inventory performance, reduce slow moving/expired/ reject inventory, and increase Customer Fill Rate Performance.

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage the Inventory Performance Improvement process to: compare Inventory Actual vs. Target Levels across the ABC classifications, flag concerns & opportunities, clarify business impact, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA), outline countermeasures, plan and monitor progress, and report performance results to leadership and within the S&OP process.
  • Lead team of cross-functional stakeholders from Supply Planning, Manufacturing, Quality, Technical Services, Regulatory, Finance, and the Business Channel to drive Inventory improvement efforts, measure performance, and ultimately achieve “Inventory Level Targets”.
  • Lead identification of quality reject, slow moving and expired raw material and bulk inventory with support of assigned cross-functional team members, and facilitate internal remedial countermeasures (e.g. requalification, reassignment) and/or liquidation sales via designated Sales Channels/Customers.
  • Provide inventory analytical and status updates to executive leadership and the S&OP process.
  • Continuously seek means to improve the related processes, cadence, system, analytics, and targets.


Qualifications

  • 5-7+ years of relevant experience in Supply Chain involving Supply Planning, Inventory Management, and Analytics for a consumer products organizations
  • 1-2 Years of Project Management experience managing cross functional initiatives, establishing goals, assigning tasks, and driving teams to meet milestones within a project plan
  • Relevant experience in using Oracle ERP/VCP or comparable Value Chain Planning Enterprise system functionality within a consumer goods manufacturing, distribution, and sales and marketing organization
  • Advanced experience creating and using quantitative Excel models to conduct and articulate cross functional analytics
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration in Supply Chain or comparable background or work experience
  • APICS Certification and/or MBA desired
  • People Management/Team player Skills: Ability to lead and work as an effective team player with cross-functional stakeholders and staff from Supply Chain, Business Channel, and Finance
  • Strong Communication and Influencing skills to provide recommendations on alternate sales avenues and execute disposition action
  • Quantitative Modeling/Analytic Skills with an ability to effectively assess Inventory Levels (Shortages & Excesses) and drive countermeasures with cross-functional teams
  • Strong Execution & Project Management Skills to proactively identify and dispose Slow Moving Inventory to reduce P&L impact due to Slow Moving/Expired Bulk and Raw Materials 
  • Sound Presentation/Articulation Skills – ability to create presentations and clearly explain complex topics and clarify the key issues and countermeasures. 
  • Ability to work proficiently in Excel to integrate large data extracts from diverse systems and generates Inventory analytics and plans forward
  • Detail Oriented: Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly and methodically identify and assess diverse problems and develop solutions
  • Self-motivated, pro-active and results oriented attitude with an ability to work in a fast-moving, dynamic, entrepreneurial environment
  • MS-Office knowledge: Expertise in MS Excel expertise, MS Power Point
