The Information Technology (IT) Procurement & Asset Manager is responsible for overseeing the purchasing and tracking of IT equipment, materials and services for the Information Technology department.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage all purchasing activities by the IT Department
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Procurement Department and Finance to make sure all procurement processes and activities are being followed
  • Educate and communicate with IT personnel on proper processes to be followed
  • Ensure all procurement activities are done in a timely manner
  • Work with Finance to ensure all purchases are reflected in the correct financial periods and GL accounts
  • Maintain records of all contracts and recurring costs and verify monthly against actuals
  • In partnership with Corporate Procurement, collaborates with vendors to ensure a positive relationship, negotiate pricing and/or terms and evaluate vendor performance
  • Maintain inventory of all vendor agreements and coordinate renewals with IT leadership and Procurement
  • Maintain Asset Inventory with appropriate financial information and aligned with Finance
  • Provide input into budgeting process and maintain clear records of all committed costs
  • Maintain telecom expenses forecast and manage Telecom Expense Management Vendor

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in procurement of technology components and services
  • Vendor and contract experience working in a multinational corporate environment
  • Experience with procurement and vendor management practices
  • Experience working with Finance teams to track Fixed Assets throughout their lifecycle
  • Experience in IT financial management practices and budgeting processes
  • Understanding of vendor management principles:
  • Familiarity with contracts and ability to understand and interpret IT contracts for SLAs and software license grants and restrictions
  • Experience in operations, performance management, metric development and monitoring * Strong organizational, communication and presentation skills
  • Strong client relationship building and customer service
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience in interpretation and presentation of the data to groups and senior management
  • Familiarity with software license types and terms.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree
