Job Description  

As Solgar's next National Sales Account Manager, you will have the opportunity to build strategic sales plans, enhance and develop relationships with accounts.

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Establish annual business plan with the retailer and continually monitor progress.
  • Collaborate with Sales Analysts to support and build category volume.
  • Provide forecasts, key account reporting and other sales reports requested by Management.
  • Communicate and coordinate customer needs within  departments required to provide superior customer service.
  • Carefully monitor the Account’s P & L Statement. Work to improve status at every level.
  • Develop Promotional strategy and presentations, special 'pre-packs' and events to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Work with  Sales Analyst to ensure promotional strategy will generate increased sales, and promotions are correctly distributed to maximize sales.
  • Create continual open stock and promotional events to increase sales. 
  • Manage promotional funds to effectively drive the business.
  • Facilitate resolution of all outstanding deductions.
  • Continually maintain detailed, accurate records in order to process and/or dispute all coop claims including Post Audit Deductions.
  • Completion of all account paperwork, new item forms, price change forms, etc.

Qualifications  
  • 3-5 years of experience in Sales or Category Management required. 
  • Bachelors Degree required. 
  • High level of analytical capabilities required
  • Must have prior experience using syndicated data to determine customer needs and establish the most effective pricing and promotional activities that will increase sales and market share for the company and its customers.
  • Flexibility to travel as required.
  • Strong familiarity with natural health and beauty care Consumer Packaged Goods preferred 
  • Prior category management processes and implementation experience a plus.
  • Successful outside sales experience in the Grocery, Drug and/or Mass retail channels preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.).
  • High level of organizational skills, good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to multi-task and follow-up when responses are needed.
