Job Description

The Senior Analyst will steward Data Management & Governance processes, setting business rules and standards for the integration and harmonization of disparate data sources across the organization, in partnership with Global IT and 3rd party data suppliers.  

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee the management (coding and structuring) of individual 3rd party data sources
  • Contributes to the design and delivery of Corporate Reports & Dashboards, ensuring accurate and timely delivery as well as evolving outputs to ensure continued relevance to the organization
  • Support the management of data and dissemination of insights across the organization, under the direction of the Senior Manager, Market Intelligence
  • Support advanced analytics initiatives, i.e. Marketing Mix Modeling, category volume forecasting
  • Enabling accurate, timely & actionable analysis, through proper stewardship of data management and analytic tools (reports & dashboards) 
  • Leveraging our data sources, i.e. Nielsen, IRI, Spins, 1010, Retail POS/Inventory, Shipments, Financials, Media, Trade, Coupons, Panel, Shopper Card, Brand Equity
  • Proactively learn about, seek out and test integration of disparate data sources to inform future data harmonization efforts 
  • Manage 3rd party database coding and structure: Nielsen, 1010, IRI, Spins, etc.
  • Design & Steward Integrated Data Governance Process with IT & Business Stakeholders
  • Manage Corporate Reports: Exec Summary, Ecomm Summary, Innovation Report, etc.
  • Design & Manage Business Performance Dashboards in partnership with IT & 3rd Party Suppliers
  • Support Advanced Analytics efforts underway—e.g. Marketing Mix Modeling, Volume Forecasting, etc. 


Qualifications

  • 5 years of client or supplier-side CPG experience, nutritional supplement experience a plus
  • Strong academic and/or practical experience in database management (SQL), dashboard design (Tableau), and statistical modeling (R/SAS/SPSS)
  • Capable of functioning in a dynamic, fluid and time sensitive environment
  • Ability to cope with complexity and ambiguity (of business situation and/or project scope)
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and presentation skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills of complex information are a key requirement.
  • Ability to present complex analyses in a simple/easy to understand manner is critical.
  • BA in Economics, Statistics, Math, Finance or other related quantitative function.
  • Master’s or more advanced degree particularly in Data Science a plus
