Job Description

The Nature's Bounty Co.'s Human Resources team is currently recruiting for a Senior Director of Human Resources supporting our Supply Chain Organization.  This role will provide leadership and overall excellence in HR practices within our Supply Chain organization, ensuring effective business partnering, efficient HR delivery, drive HR advancement and innovation in HR expertise and continued development of HR talent and capabilities.

You will be a trusted advisor to leaders and colleagues to define specific talent priorities, educating colleagues at all levels on HR solutions, representing HR’s perspective in business decisions, and ensuring business perspectives are represented in HR objectives.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Guiding business leaders through organizational design and staffing decisions
  • Supporting managers through complex organizational change.
  • Developing and ensuring the efficient implementation and application of HR policies, processes, systems and initiatives throughout the organization.
  • Seeking agreement with the HR team on any adjustments to meet specific business or legal needs.
  • Ensuring the delivery of competitive HR services aligned to the needs of the business thus supporting the business to successfully implement strategies and achieve the agreed targets.
  • Accountable for translating business strategy and needs into demand within the HR function.
  • Ensuring implementation and adherence to HR procedures, practices, directives, systems, and regulations.
  • Monitoring, proactively managing and reporting on performance and spending.
  • Ensuring a high degree of customer satisfaction of HR delivery
  • Supervising a staff to ensure best-practice sharing, optimal collaboration and consistency.
  • Proactively seeking standardization and optimization of HR processes to ensure right-sizing
  • Partnering with leadership on organization development initiatives to ensure an effective and appropriate design.
  • Driving the Performance & Compensation Management process and providing guidance to leaders.
  • Working with Business Partners to build career paths, identify opportunities for training, new skill acquisition, stretch assignments and advancement.
  • Leading the talent review process ensuring development planning and rotational assignments as well as succession planning for all levels.
  • Coaching, consulting and acting as an advocate to senior leaders, managers and colleagues.
  • Possessing a seat at the leadership table and is an active participant in department strategy and implementation.
  • Reviewing and challenging existing policies and processes to ensure they drive best value for the business.
  • Identifying best practices and continuous process improvement in the delivery of HR services making appropriate recommendations within the HR department.
  • Advising team and management in areas of employment law, policies, practices and regulations.
  • Partnering with leaders on recommendations for promotions, terminations, and transfers.
  • Conducting investigations and appropriately document complaints regarding employment practices.

Job Requirements

  • HR leadership experience in a fast-moving consumer products goods company, inclusive of manufacturing, distribution, marketing and sales.
  • 10+ years of related experience, including 5+ years managing a team, preferably of diverse function and location.
  • Depth of experience to be recognized as an expert in HR, specifically in talent management, talent review, and succession planning.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; major within an HR-related discipline preferred.
  • SPHR preferred.
  • Knowledge of all HR functional areas, as well as local, state and federal employment practices and legal framework.
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills.
  • Solid business acumen; understands the dynamics and requirements of an Operations environment as well as understands the connectivity to the business and how to best support these from an HR perspective.
  • Highly proactive, with a demonstrated track record of delivering results and developing innovative approaches.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage effectively a diverse set of stakeholders, strong stamina and effective influencing skill
  • Ability to maintain effectiveness during changes in work tasks or the work environment; adjusting effectively within new work structures, processes, requirements or cultures.
  • Continuously looks for ways to do things faster and better, while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; tactful, good negotiator, and proven ability to influence others, including senior leaders.
  • Experience identifying and solving unique and complex problems that require the application of analytical, conceptual and innovative thinking.
  • Flexibility to changing priorities and ability to successfully multitask.
  • Adaptable and flexible with strong collaboration skills and organizational awareness.
  • Experience guiding organizational change efforts, including building communication and onboarding plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive and perform in an ever-changing, fast-paced and demanding environment.
  • Flexible for approximately 25% travel
