Job Description

The Nature's Bounty Co.'s Walmart team has a great opportunity for a Senior Manager of  Customer Development to join them in Bentonville, AR. The Senior Manager is responsible for the strategic functional management, leadership and execution of all sales related activities for Walmart.  The individual will support the team with company systems (TIM) and with customers systems (ie: MPULSE, pricing system, etc.). The accounts supported are focused accounts within the region and expected to develop a more strategic role with top-top meetings and joint business plans.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Deliver target budget plan and new product distribution goals.
  • Execute our brand and category growth strategy that align with Walmart.
  • Identify new opportunities for growth; develop and implement strategic sales plans in accordance with corporate goals.
  • Develop account specific programs that align with the customers strategic plans that help with profitable growth.
  • Understand supply chain process and how to ensure best in class service levels
  • Maintain clear understanding of customer objectives, and liaise with RVP to develop operational plans to manage execution and measure results. 
  • Relationship management with account cross functional areas, Corporate and divisions. 
  • Foster and grow existing and new relationships within Walmart, gaining a deep understanding of current and potential future needs of our customers.
  • Educate our business partners on our products, retail goals, and develop measurement and KPI’s to help with growth.  
  • Deliver customer presentations that show innovation, shelf positioning, promotions, communicate pricing, etc.
  • Manage daily business in partnership with customers, including: UPC product/item setup, maintenance, logistics and inventory management in Retail Link
  • Sell-in new products and all promotions to qualified retailers; ensure full-line distribution of products (new & existing items).
  • Co-develop new item launch plans with strategic partners, to ensure item success 
  • Work with customers to implement Retail initiatives and monitor Retail standards.
  • Ongoing contract management that focuses on strategic alignment and designed to strengthen both the customer and NBCo. market position.
  • Responsible for working with agencies to input Trade Investment Management (TIM): system input, trade fund management, direct sales forecasting and projection activities for the company. 
  • Manage Trade budget and monitor spending efficiency that focus on a strong ROI.
  • Monthly reporting, sales analytics and insights; understand go-to-market strategy and how to maximize sales efficiency.
  • Understand model and how to integrate omni-channel approach with success.
  • P&L management within respective account coverage.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Job Requirements

  • 7+ years of directly related experience
  • 2+ years of National account sales experience and sales strategy
  • Sales experience with Walmart is a strong preference
  • Experience in consumer goods, vitamins and supplements is highly preferred.
  • Prior experience using syndicated data to determine customer needs and establish the most effective pricing and promotional activities that will increase sales and market share for the company and its customers.
  • Knowledge regarding Project Management, and experience with setting up and managing projects in a complex, fast-moving environment.
  • Knowledge regarding relationship management, experience and mindset to work with partners in building initiatives that deliver on goals.
  • Category management and strong analytical background is preferred.
  • Strong senior and cross functional relationships with assigned accounts.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field required, MBA a plus.
  • Overnight travel required.
