Job Description

The Sr. Manager of Digital Strategy is responsible for delivering and executing best-in-class digital strategies and activation approaches for our brands.  This individual will lead a team that will be the owner for Amazon marketing (search and display), digital activation across vehicles such as search, online video (OLV) and paid social, and digital content; partnering with the Director, Media Partnerships & Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) and the brand teams to deliver the right activation approaches to win in market.  

The right candidate will partner with the brand teams, Amazon platform agency, ecommerce customer development team, internal and external creative teams, and media planning to plan and execute digital strategies across all platforms with an emphasis on Amazon.  This individual is a critical driver of the company's future success.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Work closely with the respective franchise brand teams to translate the annual brand strategy into a digital strategy, recommending tactics to deliver on brand objectives.
  • Act as an extension of the brand team; drive collaborative communications with the brand teams, providing updates on digital campaign performance and making recommendations for optimizations of the digital plan. 
  • Oversee the development of Amazon marketing plans and the Amazon media spend budget.
  • Manage the development and execution of category and brand eCommerce & digital activation strategies, partnering with Brand and Media Planning to align to the overall brand strategies and media plans (including digital tactical plans). 
  • Oversee the development of digital content for retailer ecommerce pages and digital media by the Branding & Content team and/or external partners.  Ensure briefs are completed and timelines are being met.
  • Engage across cross-functional partners Brand, PR, Legal & Regulatory, Branding & Content, IT, etc.
  • Partner across internal teams to drive understanding of capabilities and urgency of execution to win in market across digital and commerce platforms.
  • Manage the team including establishing annual goals, providing feedback (formal and informal) via reviews and 1:1s.
  • Act as a thought leader in the digital marketing space; driving an awareness of planned, best-in-class execution and keeping the company apprised of current and future trends.

Job Requirements

  • 7+ years of Digital Marketing experience; Ecommerce marketing, especially Amazon, strongly preferred 
  • Deep understanding and experience in digital strategy development and creating digital media & activation plans
  • Agency and external partner management experience
  • BA / BS degree required; MBA preferred
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
  • High level of organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Strong multi-tasking and follow-up skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships, including senior level engagement
  • Proven ability to work with and lead peers across many functions within the company
  • Ability to work and influence cross functionally; work with leaders on strategic direction and with team members on tactical details
  • Organizational leadership and team development
  • P&L management and strong financial acumen
