Job Description

The Senior HR Manager will support the full scope of HR responsibilities and day-to-day activities within the assigned Corporate Supply Chain business groups.  The Senior HR Manager will build business partner relationships based on trust, credibility and the flawless execution of HR programs, policies and practices so quality objectives are met.

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Partner with leadership on organization development initiatives to ensure an effective and appropriate design
  • Drive Performance Management process leading the Ranking and Calibration ensuring that assessments are calibrated across the business unit
  • Work with Business Partners to build career paths, identify opportunities for training, new skill acquisition, stretch assignments and advancement
  • Provide guidance to Senior Leaders during salary planning for merit increases and promotions to ensure that a total rewards approach utilizing pay for performance and internal equity as the drivers for change
  • Lead the quarterly talent review process ensuring development planning and rotational assignments as well as succession planning for all levels
  • Coach, consult and act as an advocate to senior leaders, managers and associates
  • Drive and direct annual bonus planning to ensure the organization remains competitive and appropriately rewards and recognizes high performers
  • Possesses a seat at the leadership table and is an active participant in department strategy and implementation
  • Review and challenge existing policies and processes to ensure they drive best value for the business
  • Identify best practices and continuous process improvement in the delivery of HR services making appropriate recommendations within the HR department
  • Advise management in areas of employment law, policies, practices and regulations
  • Serve as the HR advisor for employees for compensation, payroll, insurance, immigration status, employment verifications, workers compensation, interpretation of policies and various other HR related issues
  • Responsible for all Associate relations within the assigned business groups
  • Interview, and make new hire recommendations for Manager level and above candidates
  • Partner with leaders on recommendations for promotions, terminations, and transfers within the assigned business groups
  • Conduct investigations and appropriately document complaints regarding employment practices
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required; PHR preferred
  • 7+ years of related work experience in a human resources role is required
  • 5+ years Human Resources Generalist experience is required
  • 3+ years partnering with Sr. Business leaders
  • Exhibit positive attitude regarding work and responsibilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively within teams
  • Ability to maintain effectiveness during major changes in work tasks or the work environment; adjusting effectively to within new work structures, processes, requirements or cultures
  • Continuously look for ways to do things faster and better, while maintaining high quality standards
  • Is creative and intellectually curious; tries different and novel ways to solve obstacles
