Job Description  

The Manager, Integrated Business Planning, will work with cross-functional departments to develop an optimized 12 month rolling business plan which considers market demand/growth projections, unexpected forecast changes, inventory constraints/ availability, capacity/resource constraints/availability, 3rd Party Support, and Budget/Financial requirements.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Works within the Corporate S&OP Function of the Supply Chain Division
  • Manages the “Demand/Supply Balancing /Exceptions Management” Process
  • Help lead the S&OP Transformation
  • Development of the S&OP Strategy, Processes, Organization, Metrics/Reporting, Systems, and properly integrating such a solution within the Business Infrastructure and Business Culture
  • Development of a “Forward Thinking” solution which combines “Best Practices” with the short, mid and long term business requirements
  • Ensures the Functional Business Process Owners (End-Users) are satisfied with the solution and approach to implementation
  • Applies Project Management methods and tools to initiate, manage, and monitor the development, implementation, execution, and continuous improvement of the new S&OP solution
  • Presents status updates to executive management
  • Applies proven change management methods including both formal (presentations, organized meetings, work-shops) and informal communication to engage with the business culture and ensure stakeholders understand and align with the Strategic, Tactical, and Operational implications of the new solution
  • Applies expertise to the development of the solution with external consultants and maintains that expertise regarding the future processes, policies, operations and systems will work regarding the assigned planning solution
  • Leads Data Maintenance Team to ensure all data is properly maintained, updated, and cleansed
  • Stays current in the “Best Practices” of S&OP including industry trends, benchmarking, systems, metrics, processes, etc. 
  • Leading the development of key deliverables which includes: Process/Org Design, KPIs/Metrics/Reporting, Stakeholder Analysis, Training Material, Dry Runs/Conference Room Pilots/Testing, Project & Transition Planning
  • Leads Demand/Supply Balancing process within the S&OP Cycle to improve overall demand and supply chain business performance and the coinciding KPIs (i.e. Fill Rate, Inventory, Schedule Adherence, and Order Fulfillment)
  • Serves as operational role in the S&OP process by working with the business to collect key planning issues, examine analytics, clarify business implications/impact, outline countermeasures, plan and monitor progress, and measure performance results
  • Serves as a centralized integration point for continuous support and improvement efforts of the assigned planning process

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in a Supply Chain analytical role and/or supply planning transformations involving re-engineering processes, organizations, detailed design, metrics/analytics, change management for large consumer products organizations
  • 1-2 years of experience leading S&OP/Demand Planning/Supply Planning operational activities to yield service level, inventory management, and efficiency improvements
  • Strong skills/experience in statistical/quantitative modeling business intelligence, and KPI/Analytics development with an ability to effectively lead inductive and deductive reasoning with the data to draw key business planning conclusions
  • Experience managing master data maintenance/cleansing processes, activities, and resources to ensure clean data is being used to drive S&OP
  • Ability to work with proficiently in Excel to integrate very large data extracts from diverse systems and generates S&OP analytics and plans
  • Relevant experience in using Oracle VCP or comparable Value Chain Planning Enterprise system functionality within a consumer goods manufacturing, distribution, and sales and marketing organization
  • Management consulting and International work experience is a plus
  • Project Management experience leading teams representing in-house industry experts and external consultants, and cross-functional cross regional operational business stakeholders to deliver solutions impacting E2E supply chain processes, organizations, and systems
  • Relevant Undergraduate / Graduate Degree in Business Administration or comparable work experience
  • APICS Certification and/or MBA Desired 
  • Understands Project Management Methodologies including project phases (ie. Initiate, Mobilize, Develop, Implement, Handover), tools (Project Charters, Status/Action List Development, Gantt Charts, etc.), business case development, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly and methodically identify and assess diverse problems and develop solutions
  • Self-motivated, proactive and results oriented attitude with an ability to work in a fast-moving, dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Strong Organization Skills (ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously)
  • Strong Quantitative Skills with the ability to develop and use S&OP metrics/graphs to lead root-cause analysis activities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lead and work as an effective team player with other managers and staff representing diverse business functions
  • Ability to work in a MS Office knowledge: Expertise in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
