Job Description

The Nature's Bounty Co. is currently recruiting for a Sr. Manager, Portfolio Management to join our R&D Project Management Team.  This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual with strong strategic and analytical skills to work with executive leaders throughout the Company.  This position will own and drive our Company and Franchise level resource management process across the growth portfolio and participate in the development of short & long term strategic growth plans.

Additional Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead activities that drive portfolio decision making through quantitative and qualitative portfolio insights and recommendations
  • Manage the allocation of R&D and Company resources to maximize the value of the portfolio based on key measures of profitability, project ROI, and risk
  • Achieve desired balance of resources across brands, markets and geographies
  • Ensure resource deployment is balanced between immediate and pipeline ROI
  • Ensure portfolio of projects reflects Company and Franchise innovation strategies and priorities
  • Identify areas of portfolio metric and resource management improvement
  • Lead development of processes and tools that drive key decisions for resource allocation in order to deliver Company and Franchise growth, revenue and freshness index targets for the annual and 3-Year Master Plan.
  • Work with the Stage Gate Governance Board and Franchise Teams in conjunction with project and functional managers to provide visibility and insights into the demand and allocation of resources for the growth portfolio
  •  Work with Front End Innovation Team to support creation of new product pipeline to prioritize ideas with highest ROI
  • Create and maintain automated reports and dashboards using a PLM tool for the project portfolio
  • Support analysis of acquisition targets for potential growth and ROI
  • Participate in strategy development and reviews of new growth initiatives


  • 10+years’ experience working in a Consumer Packaged Goods role (Brand, R&D, Project Management, etc.)
  • 5+ years’ leading CPG portfolio analysis and strategic resource investment decisions
  • Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, math, finance or related field required, MBA strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to complete quantitative and qualitative analysis with strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Ability to triangulate information from diverse sources and assimilate into actionable recommendations
  • Comfortable working with, analyzing, and making conclusions from large sets of data
  • Advanced skills in generating automated reports in Tableau, Qlik, or similar BI tool
  • Experience with Oracle PLM or similar enterprise resource management tool preferred
  • Ability to manage large projects / processes with exceptional ability to understand detail in the context of the large/strategic picture
  • Ability to effectively interact with functional managers, senior leaders, and executives
  • Excellent communication / presentation skills using different sources and presentation media types
