Job Description

The Sr. Procurement Analyst is responsible for supporting procurement of significant sub -categories of spend for The Nature’s Bounty Company.  The Sr. Analyst must develop solid working partnership with stakeholders to optimize sourcing, supplier selection,  pricing, contracting and ongoing Supplier Management while meeting quality and service level requirements for his/her area of responsibility.

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Executes Category Strategies and yearly sourcing plan for Procurement of areas of spend for The Nature’s Bounty Company.  Ensures supply of goods or services that meet or exceed customer expectations while delivering productivity of 3-5% annually.
  • Manages transactional aspects of Oracle Purchasing (Cost of Goods) and/ or iBuy (S, G and A expenses) systems and assists requisitions serves as first line contact.
  • Executes sourcing, supplier selection, pricing, contracting and commercialization while meeting quality and service level requirements for their spend area.  This results in ensuring negotiation and implementation of global, regional and local agreements with suppliers to deliver the greatest overall value to The Nature’s Bounty Company.  
  • Monitors supplier performance on an ongoing basis and participates in development of improvement plans as required.
  • Supports new product, new technology or new initiative launches as applicable.
  • For Direct Spend areas ensures that Oracle Costs Accounting Systems, standard costs and PPV are properly documented and managed.
  • For S, G and A expense areas may also manage transactional systems and processes such as iBuy catalogs, CWT travel site, GRMS supplier management process, etc.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, preferably in Business, Engineering or Food Science.
  • MBA desirable but not required.
  • 3+ years of progressively increasing responsibility, experience in both procurement and subject matter area supported preferred.
  • Has had exposure to Procurement supporting manufacturing/ commercial/ corporate functions in various operating models.  
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively at all levels and functions of the organization. 
  • Experience in working in dynamic, fast paced environment.
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to work within ambiguity and know what and when to escalate
  • Proven analytical skills (e.g. data analysis, business processes)
  • Ability to act in a customer-service oriented capacity with stakeholders 
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
