Job Description  

The Senior Regulatory Specialist is to serve as the functional expert in developing and maintaining accurate and compliant labeling for dietary supplements, foods, over the counter and cosmetic products by applying a thorough knowledge of labeling regulations. This Regulatory Operations-based position supports all of Nature’s Bounty Co. branded labeling initiatives globally. With a particular focus on executing against company objectives and department deliverables, the Senior Regulatory Specialist will work independently, with a high level of accountability and productivity while maintaining regulatory compliance and overall accuracy.

Responsibilities:

  • Has a high level of understanding US Federal Regulations.
  • Reviews, maintains and creates manuscript records for NB Co’s product portfolio of Dietary Supplements, Foods, OTCs and Cosmetics by interpreting and applying appropriate regional and industry regulations.
  • Compiles and interprets substantiation documentation for accurate and compliant labeling. Completes checklists and other procedural documentation.
  • Performs various calculations to substantiate compliant labeling: formula, percent daily values, vitamin & mineral conversions, nutritional claim support
  • Coaches and performs trainings with Regulatory associates or business partners
  • Work as a member of cross-functional teams to move projects to completion.
  • Coordinates individual deliverables with departmental and business objectives. Prepares reports and other data to track progress toward objectives and goals.
  • Represents the department at cross-functional meetings. Prepares and presents trainings or other talking points.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications  

  • 3+ years’ experience in a regulated industry strongly preferred.
  • Ideal candidate would have previous exposure to Regulatory Affairs in dietary supplements, foods, cosmetics or OTC pharmaceuticals
  • Bachelor’s degree required   
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  •  Demonstrates leadership  
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Mac OS and Quark XPress a plus
